To promote a strong sense of pride in our community through knowledge of our past.
To inform the public about our history, our origins and heritage.
To research, collect, preserve and exhibit artefacts and memorabilia relating to the history and culture of Smooth Rock Falls and area, from its earliest beginnings to the present.
To provide a lasting tribute to our pioneers for their courage and perseverance for the roles they played in the foundation of our town.
In the summer of 2007, Trinity United Church in Smooth Rock Falls, closed its doors and by the fall of 2007, the Board of the Trinity United Church donated their building to the Smooth Rock Falls Economic Development Corporation (SRFEDC). In addition, they donated $30,000 to the SRFEDC for operating costs with the agreement that the SRF Historical Society operates a museum in the building. We thanks and recognize the generosity given by the Board of the Trinity United Church. Their provision gave SRF a museum to promoted local heritage and history which remains today. (2021)
